“There’s never been a state in this country that has ever banned gay marriage, that’s a liberal lie,†right-wing radio host Michael Medved told the audience at a CPAC forum hosted by the very anti-gay group Focus on the Family this afternoon. FoF was founded by James Dobson, who also founded the anti-gay hate group Family Research Council.
Of course, Medved is splitting hairs. Every ban on same-sex marriage was written to “define” marriage as the union of one man and one woman, which by definition bans two people of the same gender from marrying.
Medved, who is 65, recreated his career several years ago, from movie critic to right-wing radio talk show host.

Medved is the author of several books, including The 10 Big Lies About America: Combating Destructive Distortions About Our Nation, and Saving Childhood: Protecting Our Children from the National Assault on Innocence.
