Last night we posted a shocking report about racism and admitted voter suppression from a North Carolina Republican Party official. Because it was from “The Daily Show,” of course — all issues aside — it was framed in a hilarious manner. Racism and voter suppression are not funny — the Daily Show’s production was. At the end of the Daily Show clip, they inserted this hilarious twelve-second video of Zachary Quinto, Neil Patrick Harris, Ellen Degeneres, Jane Lynch, and Andy Cohen urging people to vote. After Ellen, Harris, and Lynch say, “Vote,” Cohen says, “Because I voted, and now I’m gay.” Then, Quinto says, “That’s right, Republicans, voting makes you gay.” It’s hysterical.
