World AIDS Day 2011: Look, Learn, Listen, Cry, Remember, Write.

Our friend Paul Richardson (“Pablito”), whom regular readers will remember for his outstanding Veteran’s Day salute last year, has produced this heart-rending video for World AIDS Day today.

Not only will this video touch you, but you’ll learn a lot. Be sure to watch it through the end. It shows “famous faces of HIV/AIDS,” some of whom you may not have known have or had HIV.

So we’re asking: Is there someone, or, many people, you know you lost to HIV/AIDS? is there someone famous you just found out the world lost to HIV/AIDS? For me, I just learned the world lost the amazing science-fiction writer Isaac Asimov to HIV/AIDS, “which he had contracted from a blood transfusion received during his bypass operation.”

Thanks.

And always, remember.
