Watch: Obama LGBT Rights Policy Fanatical Cultural Imperialism Says FRC

Peter Sprigg of the anti-gay hate group Family Research Council told CBN News that President Obama’s new international LGBT rights policy is “fanatical,” suggesting it is “cultural imperialism,” and decried the notion that there is universal acceptance for the concept that gay rights are human rights, as espoused by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton yesterday.

“The Obama administration seems to be acting on the presumption that there is an international consensus that engaging in homosexual conduct is a fundamental human right…It’s ironic that they are pushing this issue while at the same time deemphasizing the recognized right of religious liberty,” Sprigg says in this video.

Apparently astonished by Clinton’s speech, the CBN News hosts said, “Today, Secretary of State Clinton called gay rights ‘equal to women’s rights and racial equality,’ do you agree with that?” she asked Sprigg.

Sprigg, regular readers know, is credited as the man who single-handedly won the hate group designation from the Southern Poverty Law Center for comments he made against gays.

In response to the question, ignorantly defeating his own case, Sprigg says, “These type of human rights and civil rights protections are usually granted for characteristics that are inborn, involuntary — you can’t choose them, — immutable — you can’t change them, and innocuous — they do no harm to anyone. All of those things are true of race and sex, none of them is true of the choice to engage in homosexual conduct.”

Apparently, Sprigg — who recently claimed that if LGBTQ children stopped calling themselves gay they’d stop attempting suicide —  has never spoken with an LGBT person, or he would know that all those are true of gay people.

Sprigg has infamously stated recently of the actions of his employer, Family Research Council, “nothing that we have done can reasonably be called ‘hate’.”

Sprigg, apparently, has never seen this 14-minute video compilation of FRC’s comments and actions.
