Watch: Madonna’s Awesome Super Bowl Half Time Show, M.I.A.’s Bird Flip

Madonna delivered an inspiring half time Super Bowl performance Sunday night. She opened with “Vogue,” then segued into “Music,” and “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” and “Like A Prayer.” Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A., and LMFAO joined her on stage.

The Hollywood Reporter has reactions from celebrities via Twitter, including these:

30 Rock star Alec Baldwin also heaped on the praise, writing, “Two quarters of SuperBowl and the strongest performer is Madonna…”

“You gotta hand it to Madonna. No apologies,” he added.

Paula Abdul wrote, “so happy for #Madonna ‘s triumphant #HalfTime show! 🙂 @NICKIMINAJ & M.I.A. crushed it! @CeeLoGreen & @LMFAO added so much fun!”

But The Washington Post noted:

M.I.A. flipped the bird and mighta-sorta uttered a bad word during Madonna’s rap portion. Knicker-knotting commenced almost immediately. If nothing else, we get to see how far things have come since Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction” eight years ago. Have we evolved? Which is to say, have we devolved enough to let it blow over?

Lord knows Bill Donohue will blame Madonna for this, too. But who really cares?
