Watch: Hannity and Carlson Freak Out Over 2007 Obama Video

Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson freaked out last night on Hannity’s Fox News show, teaming up to whip themselves into a frenzy over a 2007 video that everyone saw in 2007 — and that Tucker Carlson, one of America’s worst journalists, in my opinion, admitted he reported on after Hannity said the media didn’t report on it.

Juan Williams — whom they quickly attacked and dismissed — even said he didn’t see in the video what they saw.

Below, a two minute 14 second video, and report from Talking Points Memo that shows some of the best clips of Hannity’s discussion with Carlson last night. If it were’t so comical, it would be comical:

“Now, this is what the so-called unbiased journalists have been trying to hide for years,” Hannity said. In order to drive his point home, he welcomed Tucker Carlson on set. Carlson, however, told Hannity that “this was covered at the time. There were reporters in the room.”

Further muddying the waters, Carlson added, confusingly, “People will say this has never been reported. Actually, it hasn’t been reported. I know because I reported it the fist time.”

After playing segments of the tape, where Obama gave a “shout out” to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and criticized the federal response to Hurricane Katrina, Carlson and Hannity got animated.

With Carlson accusing the president of “whipping up racial hatred and fear,” Hannity decided the best way to get his audience engaged was with an impression of what he described as “Al Gore preacher mode.” The result had Hannity adding a cartoonish drawl and baritone to his voice for a few moments.

“Republicans have the wrooong agenda for African Americans,” Hannity said in his mocking tone.

“Exactly,” Carlson replied.

This is where the radical right wing media has gone. They have absolutely nothing on Obama because there is nothing. if this is all they have, Murdoch and Koch should pull their funding and go home, because this is totally embarrassing.

I’ll add one addendum: This racist dog-whistling is un-American. Or, far too American, depending on your view of America. Regardless, calling President Obama “a white-hating, communist, Black Nationalist,” and saying that “Obama’s fake ebonics accent is as creepy as any of his hateful race-baiting,” as Christian warrior Matt Barber did during Hannity’s show last night is the perfect indication of who is watching Hannity, and what they’re, for lack of a better word, thinking.
