Watch: Candy Crowley Fact Checks Mitt Romney On Libya — Mitt Was Wrong

Tuesday night during the presidential debate, CNN’s Candy Crowley fact-checked Mitt Romney, who lied, claiming that Barack Obama did not call the act of terror in Libya an act of terror for 14 days. That was a lie, as the transcript from President Obama’s address in the Rose Garden less than 24 hours after the event, proves.

In fact, President Obama used the word “terror” in his address:

“No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.”

“Presidential debate moderator Candy Crowley corrected a testy Mitt Romney after the Republican presidential candidate charged that President Obama failed to call the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi an ‘act of terror’,” the Huffington Post reported:

Obama interjected, telling the Republican presidential candidate to “get the transcript” of his remarks. When the governor doubled down on his charge, Crowley corrected him, saying the president “‘did in fact’ call the attack an act of terror.

“Can you say that a little louder?” Obama asked.
