Watch: Bill Maher Tells GOP Guests ‘Your Attitude Is Fuck Facts’

Last night, Bill Maher told his two GOP guests that their attitude is “fuck facts.” The Republican guests, John Fund and Boris Epshteyn — or, as I like to call them, “Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb” — were two of the worst guests I’ve seen in all my years of watching Bill Maher’s “Real Time.”

Fund and Epshteyn, dirct from the center of the “Republican bubble,” could not even bring themselves to agree one the words that President Obama spoke in the Rose Garden on September 12 of this year, after the attacks in Libya and Egypt. Despite the official transcript and video, neither of the two could agree with what is a fact.

Frankly, it was disgusting, it was shameful, and they embarrassed themselves and their party, and conservatism in general.

Despite the GOP guests mistruths, bullying, and obfuscations, the worst part (at about the 6:17 mark) was when John Fund claimed, “You know the worst part about 9/11? No one got fired.” Really, John? Because I thought the worst part about 9/11 was that 3000 people died.

John Fund, by the way, is a senior editor of The American Spectator, is a colleague of NOM co-founder Maggie Gallagher at the racist-laden National Review. Fund is also the co-author of Who’s Counting?: How Fraudsters and Bureaucrats Put Your Vote at Risk, and author of both Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy, and How the Obama Administration Threatens to Undermine Our Elections, and yet, surprisingly (ha!) did not bring up the this week’s adventure in GOP voter fraud.

Boris Epshteyn is “a Republican political strategist, investment banker, and finance attorney currently living in New York City. He was a communications aide with the McCain-Palin campaign. He is also a regular guest on MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, Fox News, and radio programs nationwide providing analysis on topics including political strategy, financial markets, international affairs, future elections, and party relations,” according to his bio at US News. He is also supposedly a Daily Caller contributor, according to the HBO credits, although a search of The Daily Caller and Google turned up no authored articles at The Daily Caller.

Arturo Garcia at The Raw Story has the rundown of last night’s disgusting episode:

In criticizing the “Republican bubble” Friday night, Bill Maher denounced his two conservative guests during a panel discussion on the second presidential debate and the fact-checking on the Libyan consulate attack that tripped Mitt Romney up.

After Maher showed the clip of Romney mistakenly saying it took President Barack Obama two weeks to call the Sept. 11 assault on the Benghazi consulate that killed four Americans “an act of terror,” followed by transcripts from the two days immediately afterward where Obama did, in fact, refer to “acts of terror,” Daily Caller contributor Boris Epshteyn first denied that that was a fact, then said it wasn’t the bigger issue, which got a rise out of Maher.

“You guys are so fucked up,” he told Epshteyn and National Review writer John Fund. When Epshteyn said that more than 50 percent of the country liked their party, Maher spat back, “Well, they’re fucked up, too.”
