Turns Out, Newt, You Can Put A Gun Rack In A Volt (Watch)

Turns out, Newt Gingrich doesn’t know much about anything, including electric cars, gas prices, Volts, and guns.

GOP presidential hopeful Newt Gringrich made a bold claim during a Monday campaign rally in Georgia, while mocking President Obama’s plan to provide subsidies for plug-in electric cars.

“Here’s my point to folks,” Gingrich said to supporters. “You can’t put a gun rack in a Volt.”

But one Chevy Volt driver took up the former House Speaker’s statement as a challenge, posting a YouTube video of his black Volt equipped with a homemade gun rack in the trunk.

“Newt decided to make another statement where he said you couldn’t put a gun rack in a Volt,” YouTube user “jtmcdole” said in a video uploaded Tuesday. “I take this to heart because I own a Volt and, as you can see, you can put a gun rack in the back of a Volt.”

While we at The New Civil Rights Movement aren’t fans of guns, we are fans of the constitution, and we are fans of intelligence, not stupidity. So, we’re not fans of Newt Gingrich.
