An attention-starved Donald Trump, playing the role of the 1% perfectly — arrogant, seething, antagonistic, and out-of-c0ntrol — attacked NBC/MSNBC journalist Chuck Todd on-air this morning, saying Todd was not being truthful. Trump added, “NBC is dying to renew me, so I don’t need this,” went ballistic on the birther issue, despite denying he was going to, and, of course injected that he loves what he does, and has “a lot of cash.”
More likely, even GOP candidates realize that having a reality show host moderate their debate makes it all-too-obvious that their attempt to gain the White House is, actually, a TV reality show, and an embarrassing one at that.
Trump’s excuse for why only Newt Gingrich has signed on to Trump’s GOP debate December 27? “People are busy.”
Yeah, busy giving Trump, an embarrassment to democracy and America, the cold shoulder.

Trump (who happens to have a new book out) has stirred things up a bit in the Republican race for the presidency when he announced that he will moderate a presidential debate at the end of December. On Monday’s “Today,” Todd cited an NBC News poll that found that, by a two-to-one margin, voters in New Hampshire were less likely to support a candidate who Trump endorsed.
Trump happened to be the next guest on “Today,” where he took issue with Todd. The two later transferred their argument to MSNBC. Trump was in a fighting mood, to say the least. Todd struggled to get a word in edgewise.
He first argued with Todd about his even being on the show. Todd had teased the appearance by saying Trump wanted to “respond” to the poll numbers.
“I didn’t even know what poll you were talking about!” Trump shouted. “Your people called my office about 40 times.” He called Todd “dishonest” and asked him to “say it like it is,” saying, “I actually think you would get better ratings.”
Oh, and Trump also claimed he’s also a polling expert, studying polling at Wharton.
Yawn.
