Congressman Todd Akin‘s new campaign website, “Still Standing,” is a freaking exploration into really bad design, poor grammar, mis-spelling, mean photoshopping, and ugliness.
The site, which has been roundly mocked, initially read, “Tell McCaskill That Your Standing With Todd Akin!” After many amusing Twitter comments, the campaign changed the Website to read, “Tell McCaskill That Your’re Standing With Todd Akin!”
Apparently, spelling and medical facts aren’t prerequisites to being on the House Science and Technology Committee.
Akin also quickly removed the offensive fetus photo.
The site also calls Akin’s comments “ill-conceived,” which is just wrong on so many levels.
And the site is especially hateful towards Senator Claire McCaskill, not even using her title of Senator, and using a very bad image — possibly photoshopped — of the Senator. Highly disrespectful to her and to the office Akin is running for.
The website also states, “Liberals and pundits want to write me off and hand this Senate seat back to Claire,” but ignores that almost every Republican wants him to quit the race — including Romney, Ryan, and the Senate Minority Leader.
Clearly, Akin is desperate. And this was not the answer. It shows just how much of an amateur he truly is.
