Three Things You Never Want To See Being Made: Sausages, Laws, And TV Hate Ads
If This Video Weren’t So Offensive It Might Be Funny

The $1.5 million hate-mongering TV ad produced and paid for by Maggie Gallagher‘s hate-mongering National Organization for Marriage, as you saw here, is a slick piece of, well, let’s say sausage. Aside from the lies it tells, lies well-refuted by the Human Rights Campaign, it is, as one reader wrote, well, I’ll let him tell you:
“If the KKK had had a slick PR firm on their side, their anti-miscegenation ads would’ve looked a lot like this anti-gay marriage ad. Just substitute ‘interracial marriage’ for ‘gay marriage’. They’re just bigots all dressed up lookin’ for an audience.”
Another friend on Twitter told me,Â
“People have gotten totally sick of bigotry, narrow mindedness and hate. It’s what that election was about. You know it’s true. ..it’s probably hard to see right now, but these people are going to do exactly what the Bushies did. Turn people off.”
So, their words lifted me up and gave me some perspective, as so many of you here and on Twitter do. And I found this gem, the failed auditions for Maggie Gallagher’s $1.5 million hate-mongering TV ad. It helps you realize they’re just actors, some of them bad actors, making bad career choices, to fulfill an agenda of hate, not of love. Watch this:
