The Internet is gaga today over Sarah Palin’s retweet of lesbain conservative commentator Tammy Bruce’s tweet, “But this hypocrisy is just truly too much. Enuf already–the more someone complains about the homos the more we should look under their bed.” From CNN to Huffington Post to Gawker, pseudo-inquiring minds want to know what Sarah Palin is thinking when it comes to “the gays.”

Well, this is the least-impressive act of “journalism” I have seen in a long time, and that’s saying a lot, considering how far true journalism has fallen in recent years.
So, once again I turned to my favorite politician-quoting source, On The Issues, to share with you what Palin has said on gay rights. Read it and tell these “reporters” to do their jobs, won’t you?

Q: Do you support, as they do in Alaska, granting same-sex benefits to couples?
BIDEN: Absolutely positively. Absolutely no distinction from a legal standpoint between a same-sex and a heterosexual couple. That’s only fair.
Q: Would you support expanding that beyond Alaska to the rest of the nation?
PALIN: Well, not if it goes closer and closer towards redefining the traditional definition of marriage between one man and one woman. And unfortunately that’s sometimes where those steps lead. BIDEN: No. We do not support that. That is a decision to be able to be left to faiths.
PALIN: My answer is the same as his and it is that I do not.
