A SurveyUSA news poll found that 8% of Californians responded “yes” when asked, “Have the protesters changed your opinion on Prop 8?”. The same survey revealed that almost 6 in 10 believe those legally married in California before the law changed should be allowed to have their status remain “married”. This is good news as it shows that when looked at an individual case-by-case basis, people are more “tolerant” of gay couples.
The same poll also found that feelings are evenly split on whether or not the protests are helping their cause.
