On last night’s “The Colbert Report,” Stephen Colbert used “The Word” segment to look at how the House GOP is “defending” DOMA, concluding gays can’t get rights until they’re wronged, and the LGBT community has been too successful to warrant equality from the Supreme Court.
DOMA, as you know, is the Defense of Marriage Act of 1996 that bans the federal government from recognizing same-sex marriages.
Of course, those of you who aren’t familiar with Stephen Colbert, it’s satire at it’s finest, and this is one of Colbert’s finest.
