State Of The Union: The Words Obama SHOULD Have Mentioned That He Doesn’t
In tonight’s State Of The Union address, President Obama speaks 7877 words, but does not mention the following ones. He should have. I’m disappointed he did not.
marriage
civil rights
equality
lesbian
climate change
global warming
sexual orientation
ENDA
DOMA
guns
gun control
DREAM Act
bullying
suicides
He does say “gay” once, “black” (in reference to people) once, “Democrat,” “Republican” and “education” ten times, each, equally. Family five times. Families twice. Tucson three times, Afghanistan once, Iraq four times. Russia twice. Health care four times (only four?!?!?) Repeal once.
What do you wish he had said? Was it a good speech? Were you surprised, or not surprised?
