Stacey Campfield Goes On Piers Morgan, Embarrasses Himself And The Good Citizens Of Tennessee

Stacey Campfield went on “Piers Morgan Live” last night to explain why he thought it was a good idea to post an image of an “assault pressure cooker” under the headline, “Here Comes Feinstein Again,” to his blog, Camp4U, in an a reference to U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein’s assault weapons ban bill, as we reported yesterday. The Boston Marathon bombers used pressure cookers to create the bombs that killed three people, including an eight-yer old boy, and wounded well more than 200. Campfield apparently thought this was funny.

Stacey Campfield, the state senator from Tennessee who has almost singlehandedly made his state both the laughing stock of America and a national embarrassment, offered no apology, no regret, and no takebacksies.

Because Stacey Campfield wants everyone to know how ridiculous and hypocritical the left is. How dare we try to get commonsense gun reform passed in the wake of the Sandy Hook tragedy that took the lives of 20 six and seven year olds and six adults?

Guns, you see, are just like pressure cookers, in Stacey Campfield’s mind, so Campfield’s faux campaign to begin assault pressure cooker control makes perfect sense, right? After all, both, he says, are “inanimate objects.”

“We’re talking about an inanimate object that does nothing by itself,” Campfield, comparing assault weapons to a pressure cooker, said to Piers Morgan. “It does absolutely nothing by itself just like a pressure cooker does absolutely nothing by itself.”

“The joke was really about the left and how they push for gun control on inanimate objects just like pushing for spoon control for obesity; it doesn’t do anything,” smugly retorted the Tennessee state senator, infamous both for his annual “Don’t Say Gay” bills and now his campaign to slash welfare payments to families whose children don’t perform well in school.

Campfield is unable to engage in serious debate, and his arrogance, anger and ignorance make the people of Tennessee look bad. Time for him to get another job.
