Soft Core Gay Porn GOP’s Tool To Attack Pro-Gay Lawmaker

Soft-core pornography from a hard core gay pornographic website is the GOP’s latest tool to smear and attack a Republican lawmaker who voted for same-sex marriage in New York. The so-called “Committee To Save The Erie County Republican Party,” a GOP “dark money” group, which reportedly is a front for a disgruntled Republican politician who lost a mayoral race in Buffalo, and seems to have, possibly illegally, taken images from the gay porn site Corbin Fisher and used them as a postcard mailer, which reportedly was never sent via the postal system but was sent via email.

The mailer used the graphic images in an apparent attempt to demonize LGBT people, and same-sex sex, and added these words:

How far will a politician go to get in your pant$?

For his Gay Marriage vote, Mark Grisanti received over $750,000.

Sometimes they’re political whore$.

and

Make sure your Son says, “Thank you, Mark Grisanti”

The Huffington Post notes that the “ad contains no evidence to substantiate” the $750,00 claim.

Calling the mailer “blistering,” Politico, who first reported the story, notes the attack is on NY “state Sen. Mark Grisanti, a Buffalo-area Republican who switched his vote to support gay marriage at the last minute last year.”

“I cannot legally come up with an argument against same-sex marriage,” Grisanti said as the bill was being debated in Albany. “Who am I to say that someone does not have the same rights that I have with my wife, who I love, or to have the 1,300-plus rights that I share with her.”

Calling it “The Most Anti-Gay Piece Of Political Mail This Year,” Chris Geidner at Buzzfeed did extensive research and reported:

Buffalo-area bloggers and writers have been commenting about the anti-Grisanti machinations of “The Committee to Save the Eric County Republican Party” for a few months now, with multiple people connecting the “committee” to Matthew Ricchiazzi, a Cornell University graduate who ran a failed campaign for Buffalo mayor. One post refers to his “bizarro politics” while another in August mentioned “the pornographic mailer” he was preparing.

To be clear, there is not confirmation the mailer came from Ricchiazzi. Geidner points to an open letter Ricchiazzi wrote the end of his failed mayoral run, in which he describes himself as “a 23 year old, openly bisexual, half-Indian, registered Republican.”
