Former Republican Vice Presidential candidate, former Governor, former chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, former Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, former “Miss Congeniality,†former sportscaster, and former head of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Sarah Palin has taken a firm stance against marriage equality.
“I don’t support defining marriage as anything but between one man and one woman, and I think through nuances we can go round and round about what that actually means. I’m being as straight up with Americans as I can in my non- support for anything but a traditional definition of marriage.”
According to non-partisian OnTheIssues.com, Palin’s first veto as Governor was “to block a bill that would have prohibited the state from granting health benefits to same-sex partners of public employees.” She also “supported Alaska’s decision to amend its Constitution to ban same-sex marriage.” Palin, acording to the website, also doesn’t know if people choose to be gay.
Recently, The Discovery Channel signed the former Governor to a million-dollar-an-episode contract to host, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.” Via Credo:
The Alaska that Sarah Palin promoted as governor has fewer wolves due to her horrific $150 bounty for each severed wolf forelimb. Her Alaska includes the enormous Pebble Mine, which dumps cyanide and mining waste into streams that make their way to Bristol Bay. And her Alaska supports oil and gas drilling at the expense of our environment.
Sarah Palin’s Alaska isn’t our Alaska. That’s why it’s so important to stop the show that will give her the opportunity to greenwash her record.
