Sarah Palin 2012? 3 Out Of 4 Americans Don’t Want To See Palin Run

Should Sarah Palin run for President in 2012? Three out of four Americans, actually 74% of registered American voters don’t want to see Sarah Palin run, according to a new poll just released from FOX News. Yes, FOX News. Only 20% of those same registered voters want Palin to run for president, and 6% just didn’t know.

Among those who do not want Palin running for President? 71% are Republicans. Yes, Republicans AND Democrats actually are agreeing on not wanting a President Palin. Finally, bipartisan consensus!

Palin had announced she was pulling out of a Tea Party rally in Iowa on Saturday, after calling the sponsors liars. Yes, liars. Not the first time she has done exactly that, either. Evidently, Palin is now back in.

CNN reports:

Sarah Palin’s speech to an Iowa tea party rally on Saturday will come on the three-year anniversary of her memorable address to the Republican National Convention in 2008, when she became GOP vice presidential nominee and an instant conservative darling.

Much has changed since then.

After the GOP ticket went down in defeat, Palin returned to Alaska and shocked Republicans by leaving the governor’s mansion the following summer.

After a period in the wilderness (at times literally), she re-emerged and transformed herself into a curious amalgam of tea party firebrand, global celebrity, Facebook prognosticator, reality television star and, of course, potential presidential contender.

Now in the final stages of deciding on whether to embark on that White House bid, Palin plans to use her Iowa speech to revisit the themes of that convention address that made her a star.

Palin will also deliver a sharp indictment of President Barack Obama and accuse him on failing to change the way Washington works, a source familiar with the speech said.

Palin announced her speech on Saturday will cover the issues she wrote about in this Facebook page note.

Palin was widely anticipated to make an announcement at that Saturday event as to whether or not she will run, and has indicated she will make it official — one way or the other — buy the end of September.
