Sandra Fluke today appeared on The View and rebuked the “apology” Rush Limbaugh released on Saturday, adding that she preferred that the conservative radio talk show host not contact her personally. Fluke also noted that Limbaugh over the course of three days last week “insulted [women] over 53 times.”
In addition to Limbaugh, Fluke also focused attention on Glenn Beck as one of “a segment of our political commentators who think that it’s acceptable in today’s society to say these things about women,” and praised Media Matters for their coverage.
Fluke stated she believes the attacks on her are “an attempt to silence me,” and also said, “I think we have to be nuanced, because nuanced is not inaccurate, it’s more accurate.”
Joy Behar reminded the audience of Limbaugh’s hypocrisy as he was “caught at the airport with someone else’s Viagra.”
Elisabeth Hasselbeck, often more conservative than most of The View co-hosts, called Limbaugh, or his comments, “repulsive.”
