Romney To Akin: Get Out
Mitt Romney, knowing full well his new vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan is being tied to Todd Akin‘s positions on women, rape, abortion, etc., today told Congressman Akin to quit the Senate race.
“As I said yesterday, Todd Akin’s comments were offensive and wrong and he should very seriously consider what course would be in the best interest of our country,” Romney said, via a statement. “Today, his fellow Missourians urged him to step aside, and I think he should accept their counsel and exit the Senate race.”
Akin today reiterated he is not going to quit the race, rather, he will ride out the storm, and even bouth a week’s worth of advertising to prove it.
