Romney Campaign Logo Merchandise Being Made In China
Mitt Romney campaign logo merchandise is being made in China, as the image above shows. Barack Obama‘s is made in the U.S.A. by union workers.
The above image, which is going viral after Chan Chandler posted it to Facebook and Buzzfeed published it, is a true testament to the Romney campaign’s typical inattention to detail and hypocrisy.
It is possible the Romney hat, above, is a knockoff, but the Romney campaign apparently has not attempted to protect its copyright.
Buzzfeed notes “Andrea Saul, a spokesperson for the Romney campaign, told BuzzFeed all of its merchandise is made in the U.S.”
Donald Trump, a top Romney surrogate and fundraiser who has donated millions to help elect Romney, appeared last week on “Late Night with David Letterman” and attacked China, then introduced his new line of men’s ties, available at Macy’s, which are made in China — as David Letterman learned by looking at the label.
Trump, who has accused China of “raping†America over jobs, demanded America burn the Olympic athlete’s uniforms that were made in China.
Trump on Letterman described China as “a country that’s just ripping our heart out,” which is ludicrous, then took a swipe at President Obama, by stating, “we just do nothing to protect our selves,” ignoring all Obama has done with China, including tariffs on China when they flooded America with under market value tires.
Trump also claimed Romney and he are in contact all the time.
