Pat Robertson says it “breaks your heart” to see gay people, who “amount to, maximum two percent of the population,” destroying the Boy Scouts of America. The 700 Club televangelist and multi-millionaire claims that this “tiny minority†of LGBT people is “willing to rip apart the framework of traditional marriage; to rip apart an organization that has done so much good for young people, the Boy Scouts; to rip apart certain of these other things that we have counted as important in our society; all for one thing: that the way they do sex will be accepted in the mainstream of society.”
“Two percent deciding what the rest of us does, and they are willing to destroy it,” Robertson lamented. “Hollywood and the so-called liberal media has jumped on board that this is the new civil rights, well I don’t think so.”

Robertson, who is 83, says gay people are willing to “destroy” the Boy Scouts “to accommodate a few kids who want to do sex with each other. It just boggles the mind.â€
Yesterday, Robertson, ignoring the reality of teen suicide, said the popular and decades-old role playing game Dungeons & Dragons is “demonic,†and links it to the increasing rate of teen suicide.
Last month, Robertson defended a man who cheated on his wife by saying, “well, he’s a man,†and adding that “males have a tendency to wander a little bit.†He also claimed a gay person can change their sexual orientation just as “a murderer can change, a rapist can change, a thief can change.â€
In April, Robertson said that Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger “set the stage for Adolph Hitler,†and accuses the “evil†organization of “genocide.â€
And earlier this year, Robertson warned the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is “out of control†and may end up killing “a couple billion people.â€
It just boggles the mind.
