An ultra-right-wing conservative organization named Public Advocate of the United States (which sounds like an official government agency, right?) is sending the most offensive anti-gay adoption fundraising email out to its list of supporters in response to the fight to end the discrimination against same-sex couples at Virginia adoption agencies.
The email — see above for a screen shot — states, “The thought of it sickens the soul.” “It” of course, is same-sex couples adopting children at Virginia adoption agencies.

It continues with, “Practicing Homosexuals skipping hand in hand down to adoption agencies to demand a boy for themselves.” Continuing the lie that gays are child abusers, when we know for a fact that the overwhelming majority of child abusers are heterosexual.
“But that’s the sick reality on the verge of being forced upon religious adoption agencies by the supposedly ‘conservative’ Virginia administration of Governor Bob McDonnell,” the email says. McDonnell is one of the most conservative governors in the U.S. right now, but these ultra-extremists won’t stop until the original Constitution –slavery included — is reinstated.
Of course, in typical stupid right-wing-nut fashion, they wrote the phone number wrong. Oops!
McDonnell’s phone number, in case you want to tell him that gays are not going to be “skipping hand in hand down to adoption agencies to demand a boy (or girl) for themselves” is (804) 786-2211. Some same-sex headed taxpaying households will want to adopt some of the millions of children that are in need of good homes in America.

It is disgusting — I mean, d i s g u s t i n g ! — that evil people like Eugene Delgaudio, who founded and heads the thirty-year old hate group, The Public Advocate, whose website states:
Public Advocate offers strong and vocal opposition to :
Same sex marriage and the furtherance of so-called “Gay Rights”;
The National Endowment of the Arts or taxpayer supported art and the federal funding and endorsement of pornography and obscenity as legitimate forms of art from any agency;
The mainstream media’s promotion and glorification of drug abuse, teenage sex, gangs, atheism, homosexuality and other immoral behavior and beliefs;
The passage of hate crimes and thought control legislation that creates inequality in our state and federal legal systems and singles out Christians or moral thinking people for persecution, fines, and harrassment [sic] by the government at any level;
“Pro-choice” or abortion strengthening legislation that upholds or expands the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision of 1973;
The creation of special classes of Americans at the expense of the traditional American family.
Oh, and it should come as no surprise, but Delgaudio is an anti-gay liar.
At some point, these hate-mongers will get the message.
