Rep. Steve King, Keep F*cking That Chicken
Is Rep. King Doing His Job?
Recently, Iowa Rep. Steve King (R-IA) said gay marriage is “a radical social idea” and “a purely socialist concept.” Really? How can anyone come to that stupid conclusion? How? Let’s look at some other comments King has made:
Iowans do not have “a very good understanding of what same-sex marriage does to the overall institution of marriage.â€
And then this, King’s hateful crescendo:
And that, my friends, is why the King thinks Americans are stupid. You and I know that same sex marriage doesn’t lead to socialism, incest, bestiality or “any other relationship.” Same sex marriage leads to, well, marriage. Love. Support. Why would anyone think that if you legalize something it leads to something else?
If we legalize pot, America will not become Cannabis Nation. And Americans are not going to quit their jobs, leave their families, and start shooting heroin. There’s no “slippery slope.” The poppy will not become the national flower. Coke will not replace baseball as the Great American Pastime. Do you, personally, think if pot were legalized, you would all of a sudden develop a desire to smoke pot? Of course not. All that would happen were we to legalize pot is that we could tax it, which would be great.
If you’re straight, right now, ask yourself this: If gay marriage becomes legal across this great land of ours, will I become gay? Will I want to leave my spouse, switch sides, and marry a person of the same gender? Will I hit on my mother or father? My sister, or brother? Will I, to quote the unfortunate misstep of a local NYC anchorman, want to fuck a chicken?
If you answer “yes,” to any of these questions, then you have some other issues, but what you don’t have is an issue with same-sex marriage.
Rep. King, instead of being obsessed with homosexuality and same sex marriage, perhaps the great citizens of Iowa should be asking you what you are doing to help them?
Consider these facts, via Homeless Children America:
“Iowa has 142,000 children living in poverty.”
“More than 10,033 of Iowa’s children experience homelessness each year…”
“Iowa ranks 11th in the nation in child homelessness.”
Now, tell me, Rep. King, are you doing your job?
