Rep. Allen West: “Equality And Fairness” Is Divisive Rhetoric From Obama

Rep. Allen West, known for ludicrous falsehoods, this week stated that he was very concerned that Obama is using “divisive rhetoric,” like the words, “equality and fairness,” because they have nothing to do with the pursuit of happiness in our Constitution. West also suggested that equality and fairness get in the way of “the right type” of monetary and fiscal policy.

“I’m very concerned about this very divisive rhetoric the president is using when he continues to talk about ‘equality’ and ‘fairness’ and this thing that I think is really contrary to the principles that I mentioned, as far as life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness,” West said, adding, “Because the government cannot guarantee happiness,” as Tanya Somanader at Think Progress, who offers this video, reported.

Allen West in an October interview attacked President Obama by falsely stating that “the objective of this administration, truly the objective of the liberal progressives is more people wedded to government, either by subsistence check or employment check.”

Congressman West’s entire career, it should be noted, has always been paid for by the government of the United States Of America. West was born in 1961, was in the military from 1983 until 2004, taught school and worked for a U.S. Defense Department contractor from 2007 — 2010, and then because a U.S. Congressman.

In the same October interview, West also repeated the Daily Caller/Fox News lie that the EPA is going to hire 230,000 regulators that will cost the taxpayer $21 billion.

West, in short, is a liar.

Recently, West has associated homosexuality to ice cream, opposed gays in the military, said, “you cannot compare me and my race to a behavior. Sexuality is a behavior,” called an LGBT group “intolerable,” called Obama supporters “a threat to the gene pool,” attacked fellow Congressman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and more.

Congressman West has also said of homosexuality, “Unless I’m Michael Jackson I can’t change my color. But people can change behavior.”
