Presidential Debate: When Is The Obama Romney Debate Tonight? What’s The Best Way To Watch?

Tonight, Tuesday, October 16, 2012, is the second presidential debate between President Barack Obama and his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney. CNN’s Candy Crowley will moderate the 90-minute event. Candy Crowley on Twitter is @crowleyCNN.

HOW DO I WATCH?

TV:

You can watch tonight’s debate on most or all of the broadcast channels. ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, FOX, PBS, and C-SPAN will all be carrying the debate live. Univision and Telemundo will not be carrying the debate live, but will broadcast it later in the evening. Telemundo will broadcast the debate at 11:30 PM ET and Univision at midnight (ET).

You can watch the debate live via YouTube.com/politics.

UStream will also be carrying a variety of formats, including PBS and CBS coverage.

C-SPAN online will also stream the debate and is creating  new “debate hub.”

NPR is offering a special debate chat and audio.

The Huffington Post has a whole hub, live now.

Hulu too.

Even Mashable is getting in on the act.

And, or course, on the Obama campaign website.

This, the second presidential debate, will be in a “town meeting,” or “town hall” format, “in which citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues,” 2012 Election Central notes:

Candidates each will have two minutes to respond, and an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate a discussion. The town meeting participants will be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization.
