As promised, here are some photos of Jonathan Howard and Gregory Jones, the same-sex couple who filed this morning to receive their marriage license in Washington, D.C. An incredibly exciting day, in which over one hundred couples (including an opposite-sex couple) stood in line to register.

Last night they told me,
“Greg and I are both incredibly excited about tomorrow, 10 years ago we were still struggling with coming out and we never imagined this day would come, now we are standing up and showing that we are truly equal.”
And as far as the contest goes,
“We are amazed by the support of the community, GLAAD and LGBT bloggers. The support from these people has put us at the top of a national competition and shown the country that we are worthy of the same rights, and that many people out there support equality!”
I agree!
They have a long, important story here, which I’ll share in greater detail later. They are an inspirational couple, fighting for us all!
