Pat Robertson: Gay Marriage Only Brings ‘Disease And Suffering’ (Video)
Pat Robertson on his “700 Club” show today said “the union of two men doesn’t bring forth anything except disease, apparently, and suffering, and the same thing with the union of two women.†Robertson, saying, “a male is equipped in a particular fashion and a female is equipped in a particular fashion and the union of the two brings forth children,” claimed President Obama is making the marriage issue a “political football†and acting as a “shameless panderer to special interests.â€
For the record, it is a lie to state that same-sex marriage only leads to disease and suffering. Pat Robertson, who has called same-sex marriage an “abomination” in the past, needs to apologize and spend more time reading the Bible. This is not Christianity. Robertson apparently hasn’t heard yet of what we’re fighting for: civil marriage, which is not, “a holy union,” as he describes marriage. One must wonder what Robertson thinks of atheists who marry?
