Pat Robertson Blames Obama For ‘Tremendous Amount Of This Black-On-White Violence’ (Video)

America is in the throes of a wave of “black-on-white violence” and clearly it’s President Barack Obama‘s fault, according to octogenarian televangelist Pat Robertson. “We are having a tremendous amount of this black-on-white violence and I have a feeling that instead of bringing racial harmony, having an African-American president has exacerbated the problem,” said the “700 Club” host. And of course it’s Obama’s fault because, clearly, President Obama is “one of the most divisive leaders this country has ever had.”

“He seems to be wanting to bring division among people instead of bringing them together,” Robertson claims.

It’s apparently somehow President Obama’s fault that George Zimmerman murdered stood his ground in self defense and unintentionally shot to death Trayvon Martin. The President offering comfort and understanding by saying his son could have looked like Trayvon no doubt was a secret call to the African-American community to war, right? And the resulting anti-Obama outrage was his fault too — my God, if only the President knew his place and had just shut up about it, right?

“It just seems he wants to rub the edges raw every chance he gets,” by talking about “the rich, the impoverished middle class,” Robertson added. “There’s always something there to stir up controversy.”

Yes, if only everyone were as wealthy as multi-millionaire American media mogul, business executive, Chairman of the Christian Broadcasting Network, and Chancellor of Regent University who reportedly made a fortune in the mines of West Africa and in oil and gas.

Ironically, as Right Wing Watch mentions, this attack on Obama took place while Robertson was “discussing the shooting of an Australian baseball player in Oklahoma by three teenagers, two of them black and one white,” when he “accused President Obama of inciting anti-white violence.”

But Obama has not ever commented on the tragic murder of Australian Chris Lane — much to the chagrin of the right.

Sadly, Pat Robertson doesn’t bother with facts. If he did he’d have learned that most murders are “white-on-white” or “black-on-black.” A white person is six times more likely to be killed by a white person than by a black person, and Robertson, if he had looked at actual FBI homicide data, would have known this.
