Obama Campaign Publishes ‘Progress For The LGBT Community’ Timeline

Today the Obama For America presidential re-election campaign published a “Progress For The LGBT Community” timeline detailing all of Obama’s actions and achievements for the LGBT community. To their credit, the timeline lists achievements, not, for example, the President’s State of the Union call on Congress to end Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.

In total, the Campaign lists 40 achievements, including executive orders recognizing same-sex partners of federal employees, lifting the ban on people with HIV/AIDS from entering the country, President Obama’s It Gets Better video, declaring DOMA unconstitutional, and combating human rights abuses of LGBT people abroad. Certainly far more than all his predecessors combined.

Now, I’d like to see a timeline for what he’s promising the LGBT community in his second term.
