NOM’s Brian Brown Twitter Account Hacked — Read All The Tweets!

On Saturday, NOM, the National Organization For Marriage, was hacked again — the second time in a week. This time, the hackers limited their attack to the Twitter account of NOM president Brian Brown, and the tweets were, some might say, amusing.

No doubt NOM, Brian Brown, and their followers think otherwise. And no doubt Brown will blame “militant same-sex marriage activists” again, again without any proof.

Of course, last week, Brian Brown and NOM tried to make money off the hacking, sending out a fundraising email that read:

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

Dear Marriage Supporter,

Early this morning, NOM’s online properties were maliciously hacked by militant same-sex marriage activists.

We cannot let this pass unchallenged.

First they attack us in the media with absurd accusations of racism and instigating division and hatred. Now it’s a full-on cyber attack. I NEED YOUR HELP.

Will you make one URGENT online gift right away to help NOM defend marriage
against this all-out assault by extremists who will stop at nothing?

While we do not condone any illegal activity whatsoever, this is news and we feel a responsibility to bring it to you, as no other media outlet was able to publish all the hacked tweets.
It should be noted that as far as we know, Brian Brown nor NOM is responsible for any of the tweets posted here via these screenshots.

And now, to refresh your memory, some of the quotes from the recently unsealed court documents that exposed NOM, the National Organization For Marriage, and its board of directors as race-baiting anti-gay haters:

“The strategic goal of this project is to drive a wedge between gays and blacks—two key Democratic constituencies. Find, equip, energize and connect African American spokespeople for marriage, develop a media campaign around their objections to gay marriage as a civil right; provoke the gay marriage base into responding by denouncing these spokesmen and women as bigots…”

“Expose Obama as a social radical. Develop side issues to weaken pro-gay marriage political leaders and parties and develop an activist hase of socially conservative voters. Raise such issues as pornography, protection of children, and the need to oppose all efforts to weaken religious liberty at the federal level.”

“The Latino vote in America is a key swing vote, and will be so even more so in the future, both because of demographic growth and inherent uncertainty: Will the process of assimilation to the dominant Anglo culture lead Hispanics to abandon traditional family values? We must interrupt this process of assimilation by making support for marriage a key badge of Latino identity – a symbol of resistance to inappropriate assimilation.”

“We aim to identify young Latino and Latina leaders, especially artists, actors, musicians, athletes, writers and other celebrities willing to stand for marriage, regardless of national boundaries. …Here’s our insight: The number of “glamorous” people willing to buck the powerful forces to speak for marriage may be small in any one country. But by searching for these leaders across national boundaries we will assemble a community of next generation Latino leaders that Hispanics and other next generation elites in this country can aspire to be like. (As “ethnic rebels” such spokespeople will also have an appeal across racial lines, especially to young urbans in America.)”
