There’s just a touch of redemption in this line: “Basically Barney [Frank] is saying, look, how do you expect me to work on the 2+2=4 bill when their side believes math is a liberal plot to turn your kid queer?”
Marco Rubio says that the topic of same-sex marriage is a topic “about what society should tolerate.” USA Today applauds Rubio, and asks, “Can Florida Sen. Marco Rubio cut the mustard with GOP conservatives, particularly evangelicals, as Mormon Mitt Romney’s running mate when his views on a hot topic like gay marriage are so … open?” Really? “Open”? I’d call that case closed.
Bryan Fischer excitedly tweeted today that Rubio would be on his show tomorrow, then embarrassingly had to say Rubio “Postponed.” Can’t imagine why…

Mitt Romney will speak before the NAACP next month. “This election will be about how to provide the best future for all Americans, of every color and background,” NAACP Ben Jealous said in a statement. “As America grows more diverse, we can choose to embrace that diversity or let it divide us. We look forward to an engaging conversation with Governor Romney about his vision for a more just society.” Engaging?
The blogs are all talking about various incantations of the real estate website Trulia’s list of top gay neighborhoods around the country, and slicing and dicing the stats. Unfortunately, CNN Money got involved, and wrote, “Many of the U.S.’s most gay-friendly neighborhoods are in some of the country’s most expensive real estate markets. But there are also plenty of more affordable options for same-sex couples, according to real estate website Trulia.” Does “plenty of more affordable options for same-sex couples” sound like we’re not welcome in non-gay neighborhoods?
Maggie Gallagher admits the Regnerus anti-gay parenting study funded by the religious right, (especially those groups tied to Robert P. George) has “limitations.”
It cannot tell us how children fare when they are raised from birth by two lesbian moms or two gay dads. Not because the author intentionally designed the study to fail, but because these family structures are apparently so rare that they barely turned up in the data.
Well, Maggie, let’s be honest. Those family structures were rare given that the “study” is of adults 18-39, so the data can go back to the 1970s.
One Million Moms is taking credit for the supposedly sudden exit of JC Penney’s president and head of marketing, Michael Francis, who left because “the marketing strategy wasn’t working,” according to JC Penney’s largest shareholder. One Million Moms, and American Family Association EVP Buddy Smith think otherwise. All0wing for marking misdirection, Smith says “many Christians have stayed away from the company because of their promotion of the homosexual agenda.”
