New NOM Poll: ‘Should Obama Force Homosexual Marriage On Everyone?’

NOM, the National Organization For Marriage, just published a new fake poll — which has about as much credibility as the Regnerus anti-gay parenting study NOM’s co-founders seem closely linked to — which is little more than an email harvesting and fundraising device, that asks, ludicrously, “Should Obama Force Homosexual Marriage On Everyone?

What does that even mean? Does anyone with a brain think President Obama could, even if he wanted to, force heterosexuals to divorce and enter into “homosexual marriages”? And what exactly is a “homosexual marriage”? Loving same-sex couples just trying to live their lives, and possibly raise their children. Horrors!

Do they actually think this will sway hearts and minds? Of course not.

Are they attempting to denigrate gay people to line their pockets? Of course they are.

Now, let’s remember a few facts.

Princeton scholar Robert P. George, who was appointed to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) by Speaker of the House John Boehner, is a co-founder of NOM, along with Maggie Gallagher, who writes for the racism-infiltrated National Review. Gallagher, you’ll remember, was paid tens of thousands of your tax dollars by President George W. Bush “but never disclosed the payments” as many believe she ethically should have, and, fibbed on national television about her positions on ex-gay therapy. The board of directors for the National Organization For Marriage is now chaired by John Eastman, a law professor who recently laughed, supportively, it seemed, at the thought of Iran dropping nuclear bombs on New York City.

Then there are NOM’s documented corporate policies of anti-Obama race-baiting.

These are the cultural elites who are focused like a laser (or, nuclear missile, if you prefer) on painting people who support same-sex marriage and the entire LGBTQ community, as evil, un-Godly monsters.

NOM has dabbled repeatedly in copyright violations and has been forced to admit violating ethics laws related to election finance.

They have lost all, or practically all, the federal court cases they have supported.

The source of their funding is unknown, but many believe it is the Mormon Church, although it would be surprising if the Vatican has not funded them as well.

Not only do they act as if they are above the law, they act as if they are God’s chosen warriors, placed on earth to battle the personal, private lives of loving gay and lesbian couples.

Frankly, I do not know how they sleep at night.

Jeremy Hooper, who first reported on this “poll,” writes:

Everyone’s awful except the oh-so sanctified NOM.

Has there ever been a special interest group more willfully divisive? It’s so gross.

I renew my prediction: the Southern Poverty Law Center will add NOM to their list of active anti-gay hate groups when the annual update gets published.
