New Hampshire: Romney, Paul, Huntsman, Take Top 3, Santorum Fifth

In today’s New Hampshire primary vote, Mitt Romney — who also won Iowa — handily placed first with 36% of the vote. Ron Paul (25%) came in second, Jon Huntsman (17%) third, and Newt Gingrich placed fourth. Rick Santorum, who antagonized voters in the “live free or die” state with his anti-gay condescending agenda, finished an embarrassing fifth, followed by Rick Perry. This is an extremely rare event, when a Republican candidate wins both Iowa and New Hampshire.

Turnout was reportedly strong, despite the fact that voters have been reluctant to back any single candidate.

Romney on Sunday attempted to claim that his opposition to same-sex marriage actually increased gay rights.
