The Story:
First of all, George Alan Rekers is one of those that believes in conversion therapy, I’m not sure he has read the recent expose of the conversion therapy process by Patrick Strudwick.
So, I believe that we all know the story of how he, Rekers, got caught. But do we all know how he got to that fateful day? Let’s take a look.
Rekers has had a history of testifying against all that is homosexual.

Currently experts are wondering if his recent run-in rendezvous with the rentboy will affect the decisions that are being faced in California and Florida concerning adoption and marriage. In both cases Rekers has had a say in the proceedings.
With all this testifying he has also written reports about gay marriage, is listed as an advisor and officer of NARTH (National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuals) but has resigned from his position as a board member, is a sort of moderator for TeenSexToday.com where he answers questions about sex and sexual orientation, and he also is listed as the director in development for FactsAboutYouth.com (a website designed to help teach children about sexual orientation) where they say this after being asked “Do people choose their sexual orientation?”
In most cases — sexual orientation — especially in the adolescent years is fluid and changeable.
To top all this off Rekers and his family are a team ministry with InterAct International Inc., where the purpose of the organization is to conduct mass evangelistic campaigns.
And after all this, Rekers was caught in April with a twenty-year-old “rent boy” who was for hire at the popular site “Rentboy.” Rekers claims that he didn’t know that “Lucien” was a male prostitute, but really why else do people hire “rent boys?” “Lucien” has also testified that he repeatedly gave George rub downs and performed what is called the “Long Stroke,” reportedly George’s favorite part of the rub downs.
The Miami New Times reports (May 6, 2010):
The male escort hired by anti-gay activist George Alan Rekers has told Miami New Times that the Baptist minister is a homosexual who paid him to provide body rubs, once a day, in the nude, during their ten-day vacation in Europe.
Rekers allegedly named his favorite maneuver the “long stroke” — a complicated caress “across his penis, thigh… and his anus over the butt cheeks,” as the escort puts it. “Rekers liked to be rubbed down there,” he says.
I think it is fair to say…I’ll leave it at that.
