My comments to NH Governor John Lynch
My comments to NH Governor John Lynch.
Governor,
No doubt you know the decision you are about to make on your state’s gay marriage bill will anger many, and please many. No doubt you have your own personal beliefs on this matter as well, as we read in the papers. And no doubt you are trying to make the best decision.
But there is also no doubt that signing the gay marriage bill into law will harm none, help thousands, and put your name on the right side of history.
One of the lawmakers in your neighboring state of Maine, during their gay marriage bill debate, said, “Love should not be discriminated against. Marriage equality is the civil rights issue of our time.â€
Another lawmaker from Maine spoke, quoting former governor Jesse Ventura, “Love is larger than government.â€
Governor, please, sign this bill.
Thank you.
(Please, write Governor Lynch.)
