There’s nothing stellar about The Big Gay Musical, except that it’s fun, fabulous, and affirming. And isn’t that exactly what we all need more of right now?
I do. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the movie. Daniel Robinson’s and Joey Dudding’s performances were wonderful. And, well, yes, I’ll say it: hot. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
But the movie is more than just a fun romp. It’s a paean to what gay lives can be, what so many of us want our lives to be. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, either.
So, go see The Big Gay Musical. Even if you’re not gay. (And maybe especially if you’re not gay.) You’ll enjoy every minute. I know I did.
