MSNBC Insists Hate Group Leader Is Perfect Pundit To Explain Cain

Why does MSNBC insist that the leader of a certified hate group listed along with the KKK — the Family Research Council (FRC) — is a valid pundit for, well, anything? Tony Perkins, president of the FRC, actually has been caught financially supporting the KKK, to the tune of at least $80,000. Yet MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, a veteran journalist who has covered the world for NBC, just this afternoon had Tony Perkins on to discuss the moral values of Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich.

Surprisingly, Perkins didn’t attack the LGBT community in his few minutes on air, but his record stands firm. Perkins, and the FRC, are extremely homophobic, and spend millions of dollars annually attacking America’s LGBT community.

Mitchell is not the only violator of common decency or common sense at MSNBC. Last month, Chuck Todd’s interview of Tony Perkins unacceptably positioned Perkins as a vaunted political and religious leader.

Perkins has recently suggested an esteemed military leader, during a time of war, you’ll remember, lied to Congress with their support of DADT repeal— an attack so grave any Democrat attempting to do so would be permanently sidelined. Perkins also recently claimed that despite 6000 U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, allowing gays to serve openly in the military would be its “most difficult mission yet.” And earlier this summer, Perkins claimed gays have “thrust their bedrooms into the public square.”

Need more proof of Perkins’ lies? Try this video by Equality California, which totally exposes Perkins’ blind hatred.

But if you’re still not convinced, try watching this excellent compilation of FRC’s “greatest” hits — on the LGBT community, courtesy of SuchIsLifeVideos.

Then, if you still want, listen to what Perkins has to say about Cain, and Gingrich.

Shame on you, MSNBC. Shame on you, Andrea Mitchell.
