Calls Gay Community “Disingenuous,” Says “Children Are Not Puppies”
Mike Huckabee, ordained Southern Baptist Minister, Fox News host, perennial Republican presidential hopeful, compared legalizing gay marriage to legalizing incest, polygamy, and drug use, and called all of those outside of “the ideal” in a discussion at a New Jersey college.

“You don’t go ahead and accommodate every behavioral pattern that is against the ideal,†he said. “That would be like saying, well, there are a lot of people who like to use drugs, so let’s go ahead and accommodate those who want to use drugs. There are some people who believe in incest, so we should accommodate them. There are people who believe in polygamy, so we should accommodate them.†Huckabee said civil unions are “not necessary.”
Huckabee added,
“I don’t have to prove that marriage is a man and a woman in a relationship for life… They have to prove that two men can have an equally definable relationship called marriage, and somehow that that can mean the same thing.”
Huckabee, whose daughter used to manage, “HuckPAC,” his political action committee, is obviously greasing the wheels, and trying to grease his coffers for his attempt at the 2012 election.
