Marriage Equality Bill: Here’s What It Looks Like In the Illinois State Capitol Right Now

 
 
Still no word yet on whether or not the Illinois House will vote on same-sex marriage, but today is the last day of the session. Activists are excited and held a rally outside the state Capitol, and just moved inside, singing, "This land is your land, this land was made for you and me."

In what many are seeing as a positive sign, Speaker Madigan has invited LGBT families into the Speaker's Box.

Will there be a vote today?

If it passes, Governor Pat Quinn will sign it into law, making Illinois the 13th state to extend marriage to same-sex couples.
