At last night’s 2012 GLAAD Amplifier Awards, hosted by Wilson Cruz, GLAAD gave JC Penney (NYSE:JCP) the top award for Advertising – The Hot Spot category, which honors outstanding images of the LGBT community in public relations and advertising in the mainstream media market. The famous two dads ad, featuring Cooper Smith Koch and Todd Koch, was the winner.
The Kochs are a real-life family, most likely adding to their appeal and authenticity. Here is the Koch family, Cooper, Todd, and their two children, offering congratulations to JC Penney:
