Michelangelo Signorile, the veteran journalist who hosts an LGBT radio show, interviewed former SNL actress and Tea Party activist Victoria Jackson, who — in her typical fashion — spewed her ignorance and bigotry and stupidity freely and willfully, not even understanding who she was talking to.
Signorile is also Editor-at-Large of Huffington Post Gay Voices. In his Huffington Post column today, Signorile details his conversation with Jackson. He writes:
“The people of California voted that they did not believe that gay marriage — no gay marriage,” she explained to HuffPost Gay Voices. “They voted that. A judge, probably gay, activist judge, overturned that. That’s what I’m talking about — communism.”

So if we allow votes like Prop 8 in California on gay marriage, does Jackson think we should we be voting on everything else, including other civil rights?
“We should vote on everything — of course we should vote on everything,” she said. But then she changed her mind: “Oh no, I believe in a republic where we should have elected officials. Democracy turns into mob-ocracy.”
But in California the people voted on civil marriage, she is told, so what happened in California was mob rule, right?
“No, um, it was a judge. It was judge,” she answers, hesitating. “I don’t know. You’re confusing me. I’m a beginner political activist.”
So why shouldn’t gays be able to get married?
“That’s not marriage,” Jackson explains, as still more CPAC attendees wave to her and thank her. “It’s in the Bible. God created it. He did not create gay marriage. He created man and woman marriage — duh!”
Jackson, in this three-minute audio, also discusses slavery, Santorum, proposes that you’re either a true conservative or a socialist. Unless you’re Obama and then you are then a communist. In fact, she starts out saying, “I’m here to save America from communism.”
Because what America needs is a stupid actress who has little grasp of democracy to “save” us.
Note: Signorile last month interviewed Tennessee Senator Stacey Campfield, who told Signorile that it is “virtually impossible” to contract HIV/AIDS through heterosexual sex.
