Democratic Senator Believes In “Traditional Values,” Doesn’t Want To “Redefine What We Hold Most Dear”
New Jersey Senator John Girgenti says he believes in letting the public “weigh in,” in a “non-binding referendum,” on same-sex marriage. In case the Senator hasn’t heard, there’s such a thing in place. It’s called a poll, and New Jerseyans already have “weighed in,” in favor of same-sex marriage.
The Senator says he believes in full equality, just not in marriage equality. Listen as he dances around the issue like a Republican. He needs to switch parties. He has no business being a Democrat.
As the NJ Senate Majority Whip (one who is in charge of ensuring attendance and votes,) it’s no wonder the gay marriage bill didn’t pass. He voted against it.
