Listen: George Zimmerman’s Wife Calls 911 On Her Husband: ‘Threatening All Of Us’ With A Gun
George Zimmerman‘s wife Shelli was recorded on a 911 call this afternoon. You can listen to the audio of a portion of that call here. The audio, posted by WKMG in Florida, is very descriptive, but the last words that a person who seems to be Shelli Zimmerman can be heard saying are, “Oh my God, there’s a woman in there!”
Zimmerman was reportedly detained this afternoon after a reported altercation, possibly with his estranged wife and/or her father.
“He’s in his car and he continually has his hand on his gun and keeps saying ‘step closer,'” Shelli says, then adds in response to the 911 operator’s question, “and he’s gonna shoot us.” Â “He’s threatening all of us with his firearm,” Shelli Zimmerman reportedly said, according to WKMG.

UPDATE: Think Progress reports that Zimmerman will not be charged with a crime, but the police could — if they wanted to:
Zimmerman has already offered a contradictory account in which he said he acted in “a defensive manner†and that Shellie was the aggressor — not unlike his self-defense claims during the Trayvon Martin trial. A police spokesman told an Orlando Sentinel reporter that Zimmerman “appears calm, collected.â€
As the family considers what to do next, police have not yet made an arrest. But Police Chief Steve Bracknell said, “They both have declined to press charges against George Zimmerman. We have no victim, no crime.â€
This does not appear to be an accurate statement of Florida law, however. As a Florida appeals court held “the decision to prosecute does not lie with the victim of a crime†but with the state attorney who must determine whether to pursue the case.
