Libertarian Politician Who Called For Assassination Of Obama Offers Warning, Explanation, No Apology

A California libertarian politician who reportedly directed an ugly, racist, and possibly criminal statement towards President Obama on Facebook, “Assassinate the fucken nigger and his monkey children” has offered an explanation, a warning, but no direct apology. Jules Manson, described as a “libertarian Ron Paul supporter,” by the media, and who stated on his personal website that he is “committed to never mislead the public nor make promises I cannot keep,” had run for a city council seat last year but lost.

On what appears to be his Facebook page (attached to a link to what has turned out to be a false article about the NDAA,) Manson, as evidenced by the image above, wrote:

If the government is allowed to use force on us while it erodes our constitutional protections, it MUST be countered with assassinations onto them and their children, and onto all others in uniform who directly protect the state. This is because such pyschopaths cannot be reasoned with. They are actually protecting their privileged positions in society, not our rights or security. We must demonstrate that such treason will become too expensive for them to support. This is the only way.

We do have the power. We just need to exercise it and drop our political correct beliefs. For example, if ever serving on a jury for anyone charged with a crime against any elected or appointed government employee or any board member of any finance corporation, we must always protect such patriots despite the evidence. Always vote “not guilty” for these heroes.

Political correct beliefs of “not stooping to their level” are not instilled into us to make us moral human beings. They are indoctrinated for the protection of those who betray us. Turn the other cheek? Fuck that!

But then, worse, Manson writes in the comments of his own Facebook posting:

Assassinate the fucken nigger and his monkey children.

Earlier today Manson offered this warning as an explanation via Facebook — no real apology included:

Once you have taken the position that anyone should be imprisoned for careless emotionally driven remarks that had no real substance, you deserve what your government has become. All I can really say is to be careful what you wish for because setting such a precedence can come back to bite you. I have felt deeply regretful and apologized for my past mistakes. Can you do the same?

This is what happens when extremism meets false information.

And as I often say, consider the source.

Stephen Foster at Addicting Info posited,

For any person to openly call for the assassination of the President of the United States is outrageous and should be tried for treason. If Republicans do not condemn this unacceptable instance of bigotry and hatred, they are just as guilty as Manson is.

Impressively, Angry Black Lady his tracked down more insights into the article that set Manson off, which, if correct, offer more possible illegal acts, including a website that claimed to have two high-level journalists writing for it — which it apparently did not.

I’m smelling Secret Service and FBI all over this — and rightly so.

Hat tip to my friends at The Political Carnival.
