In John Boehner’s Do-Nothing Congress, no action is preferred to action. Remember the financial crisis of 2008, that required massive action and unprecedented spending to stave off a potentially historic depression?
That action never would have happened in John Boehner’s Do Nothing Congress. The lack of action is unsurprising, given how Boehner treats being the Speaker of the House as a part-time job. Why pass a bill when you can down a scotch or get in nine holes, or spend your time hanging out on Twitter sending hypocritical tweets about jobs?
