HuffPo’s Lisa Solod Warren Creates The Noah’s Ark Theory Of Life, The Universe, And Everything

In her blatantly racist and lord-only-knows-why-she-bothered-to-wake-up-and-turn-on-her-laptop-to-write piece, “Two Black Role Models Done In By Hubris,” Lisa Solod Warren attempts to prove that just because two things have one thing in common, it would make for a fair piece on Huffington Post.

By her theory, as I turn my head and look at my desk, my new iPhone and my old iPhone would make for an important piece.

So, I’ll make this short as I have some work to do. Perhaps I can make it into a piece of fiction – the kind that Warren excels at.

Life isn’t Noah’s Ark. (And no, although ironic, I’m not referring to the Logo TV series.) You cannot take two of something, say, two black men and put them on a boat and sail it off into the Internet. You cannot, Lisa, you cannot write the following, and expect to not get attacked. And you will.

“In the past few weeks, the two most famous and arguably most successful black men in America have taken a huge fall. It has become clear that both pro golfer Tiger Woods, just named Athlete of the Year by the Associated Press, and the American president, Barack Obama, the first black person to lead the country, suffer from a surfeit of hubris which has finally caught up with them. If both men somehow thought they were untouchable, they have been put to right. Both have crashed to earth and it may well be true that they can never recover their earlier status again.”

It would have been equally despicable to write about two Asian-Americans who suffered a fall from grace. Or two homosexuals. Or two black people. Oh, wait; you did.

If you could have stretched just a little bit more and found some other common link, other than the color of their skin, to weave an intelligent narrative, perhaps you could have been given a pass. But writing a piece about two men who are black, kicking them when they’re down, because they’re down, and because they’re black, is just offensive.
