Huckabee On Colorado Shooting: We Don’t Have A Gun Problem. We Have A Sin Problem.
Mike Huckabee says the Colorado shooting early Friday morning is not the result of a gun problem, a crime problem, or a violence problem, but the result of a “sin problem” because America has taken God out of public institutions, like schools.
“We don’t have a crime problem, or a gun problem, or even a violence problem.
What we have is a sin problem.
And since we’ve ordered God out of our schools and communities; the military and public conversations, you know we really shouldn’t act so surprised when all hell breaks loose.”
These comments echo almost exactly those of the American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer and Fred Jackson, who blamed the ACLU and Supreme Court for removing God from public institutions and schools.

As others have noted, these killings have been happening long before the 1960s, when forced prayer in the classroom was banned.
